...My heart is filled with joy when I recall my memories from KDSS, the good relationships between teachers and students and also students to students was really helpful in creating an atmosphere where I would fully focus on working smart in my education. My guardian who is a single parent was struggling back then to raise us (me and my 3cousins) and when I got a chance to study in KDSS, the Kenya Children’s Fund led by Ginger palm fully sponsored my secondary education, this reduced the burden so much for my guardian...

...I joined Kinyago Dandora School in 1996 where I started at the then nursery class. I have very fond memories of my journey at KDS. The institution gave me an opportunity for education through the donor sponsorship program that catered for not only the tuition fee but also two meals that were served during the school hours. At the school, we had access to most of the books required for the curriculum and this put us at an advantage to excel in our studies. When I think of my life at Kinyago Dandora Schools, my heart is filled with a lot of gratitude. You see, life at home was not so easy, so when I joined Kinyago Dandora Schools, my life took a great turn. Kinyago Dandora Schools provided me with quality education, proper spiritual guidance and counselling, a well-balanced diet (which sometimes was hard to get at home) and a better healthcare...

...I joined Kinyago Dandora Primary School in 2000 in kindergarten and finished my grade 8 in 2008 where I topped in my class during the national exams. I thereafter joined Kinyago Dandora Secondary School in 2009 and finished my high school education in 2012. I remember back in the day, being in Kinyago Dandora Schools was prestigious because we got to enjoy quality education, high standard amenities and many other benefits that schools around the slum were unfortunately not acquainted to...
