MISHKAN AFRICAN LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE

Who are we?

Mishkan African Leadership Institute (MALI) is a community Christian college located in Kinyago Dandora, Nairobi, Kenya. It was was established by the Kenya Children’s Fund under the esteemed leadership of CEO Emerita Ginger Palm. The institute proudly offers scholarships to pastors and leaders within the community and beyond. The foundation of this college emerged from a pressing need for pastoral training within the Kinyago Dandora Community. Core Value we stand by

We have a scriptural Godly mandate to produce pastoral, church and community leaders and missionary Christians who believe that the sound doctrine of the bible forms the foundation of a Biblical worldview. So, reality and morality are based on this basis.
We set the seal to hegemonize ourselves according to the unadulterated scriptural sound doctrine. Integrating true faith and learning in all subjects and throughout all extracurricular activities offering learners opportunities to, memorize, and recite scriptures from the teachings of Jesus Christ as a core subject in the academic curriculum,

“Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming.” ~ Ephesians 4:14

We endeavour to produce pastors and missionaries who are passionate about following the call of Jesus Christ and especially the great commission. We also seek to retaining qualified citizens whose actions and attitudes reflect that of Christ offering students multiple opportunities of the reward of faith.

The Great Commission

“Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” ~ Matthew 28:19-20

We nurture students through character trait focus, and classroom discussions, seeking the Lord’s guidance through prayer and devotion. The faculty also seeks guidance through prayer and devotion in each classroom, encouraging pastors to lead their congregants in a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.” ~ Colossians 3:20
Pastors and leaders are equipped with a strong biblical foundation, enabling them to have strong convictions of service to our schools, communities, and country. They are trained to speak and perform effectively in both small and large group settings. Moreover, they develop strong character qualities that are nurtured throughout their learning journey. These qualities include integrity, reflecting their commitment to glorify God in all things through Christ Jesus.
Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.” ~ 2 Timothy 2:15

Faculty - The people making a difference at MALI

Reverend Jeremiah Ombasa

I hold a Diploma in Theology from Harvest Fields Bible College and a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies from Global University (ICI). As a proud lecturer at MALI (Mishkan African Leadership Institute), I strongly believe that MALI has been a rescue for pastors who did not have the financial means to enroll in a university or college. In my role as a lecturer, my goal is to inspire and challenge students to think critically, engage in meaningful discussions, and apply what they learn to real-world situations. I am dedicated to providing a holistic education that integrates theological teachings with practical ministry principles. One of the distinctive aspects of MALI is our commitment to cultivating qualities of integrity, humility, and servant leadership in our students. We aim to prepare them to make a positive difference in their churches, communities, and the world. I firmly believe in God as the creator of heaven and Earth and in Jesus Christ as the Son of God. I also embrace the belief in the Holy Spirit, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, and the resurrection
