Hi, my name is Margaret Nyamu. I joined Kinyago Dandora secondary school in the year 2012 and left in 2015 after finalizing my secondary education.
Life in KDSS was amazing; having supportive teachers really helped me grow not only educationally but also mentally, spiritually and emotionally. I enjoyed being a part of the Christian Union which helped me know Jesus Christ in a deeper level and am glad I uphold that virtue till date.
My heart is filled with joy when I recall my memories from KDSS, the good relationships between teachers and students and also students to students was really helpful in creating an atmosphere where I would fully focus on working smart in my education.
My guardian who is a single parent was struggling back then to raise us (me and my 3cousins) and when I got a chance to study in KDSS, the Kenya Children’s Fund led by Ginger palm fully sponsored my secondary education, this reduced the burden so much for my guardian.
Above that we used to receive gifts and shopping hampers from our sponsors during holidays which really came in handy for my family. May God bless KCF fraternity.
In 2016, I joined Kenya Medical Training College, Mombasa campus and pursued a diploma in pharmacy and thereafter graduated in 2019. I am currently working in one of the best retail pharmacies and I am grateful. Kinyago Dandora secondary schools has played a major role in who I am today and I am forever grateful for having been a part of this great and winning team. It really doesn’t matter where one schools or where one comes from, as long as you focus and believe in God anything is possible.
